EASTERN ANATOLIA TOUR WITH FLIGHT General Informatıon About

                                                TOUR CAPACITY IS LIMITED TO 40 PEOPLE

1. Day: ANTALYA -VAN- AKDAMAR- TATVAN

We meet in the Domestic Terminal in Antalya Airport at 7:00 am and take the flight to Van at 8:25 via Sun Express. The flight takes approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. As soon as we arrive at Van, we meet our driver waiting for us. We see Van Castle, Urartian Rock Toms, ruins, historical Van houses, Ulu Mosque, Hüsrev Pasha Mosque, Seljuk cemetery in Gevaş district, inlaid tombstones, Halime Hatun Tomb panoramically.

We take the boat ( costs 40 TL per person) and arrive at Akdamar Island. We see the ruins and the church on the island and go back to the city and drive to Tatvan.

We’ll visit El Aman Caravan Palace in Tatvan, have a break at the beach, and then move to our hotel.

2. Day: TATVAN – AHLAT - BİTLİS – BİNGÖL – YUZEN ISLANDS - TUNCELİ

After having breakfast at the hotel, we visit the first big Turkish city of Anatolia AHLAT. This city is called “The dome of Islam” by Seljuks, “an ancestral city” by the Ottomans. Ahlat is a huge open-air museum filled with the ruins of castles, mosques, bridges, Seljuk cemetery, baths from the past civilizations, especially from the Seljuks. We will see the third biggest mountain of Turkey Süphan and Van Lake. After visiting the shops where the famous Ahlat walking sticks are being sold, we move to Bitlis.

According to the myth, this city is built by the order of Badlis, who is the commander of Alexander the Great and called “the city with 5 minarets”.

We see İhlasiye Complex which was built by Seljuks in 1216 and then have a break. We then move to see Yüzen Islands which are located in a crater lake. After a visual feast in this area, we head to Tunceli which is known for the Munzur Valley National Park in the upper Euphrates region of Eastern Anatolia.

We settle into our hotel.

3. Day: TUNCELİ - OVACIK – ERZİNCAN - ERZURUM

We leave our hotel early in the morning and after the Tunceli city tour we set out to go to Ovacık, the exit point of Munzur Suyu.

Munzur Valley, one of Turkey’s largest National Parks, is rich with endemic plant and animal species. Here we first visit Ana Fatma, which is the most important visiting place in the area. Then, we photograph Halbori Gözeleri which is located in a deep and rocky valley. We have our lunch in Ovacık and set out to Munzur Gözeleri, which is famous for its smaller and bigger waterfalls, ponds. After having a visual feast here, we move to Erzincan city. We have a photo break in Girlevik Waterfall and then we move to Erzurum for dinner and accommodation.

4. Day: ERZURUM – SARIKAMIŞ - KARS

After having breakfast at the hotel, we visit Ulu Mosque, The double minaret madrasah, and the Erzurum Congress building in order. Then we head to Taş Inn to have free time. Here you may find the most famous stone in the region called “oltu” which is black amber.

We visit Erzurum-Turkish Islamic Arts and Ethnography Museum(Yakutiye Madrasah), the Three Tombs, and move to Kars. First, we visit the tomb of Nene Hatun and Aziziye Bastion and then visit the Sarıkamış Martyrs’ Monument, which was built in memory of our soldiers who were martyred on the slopes of the Allahu Ekber Mountains. We have a break here for lunch and then we see Kars Castle, Beylerbeyi Palace, 12 Apostles Church, Ottoman Bridge, and hammam, stone structures of Russian period then move to our hotel.

5. Day: ANI RUINS - ÇILDIR LAKE

After having breakfast at the hotel, we visit Ani ruins first. The ancient city of Ani, the cradle of civilizations, which is estimated to have a history dating back to three thousand BC, has been the transition and accommodation point of dozens of civilizations that migrated from the Caucasus to Anatolia and back from Anatolia to the Caucasus for ages before settled societies were established. It witnessed conquests, wars, invasions, looting, and times of peace and prosperity. The lands of Ani, where more than twenty civilizations have established their lives, spread over an area of ​​approximately 80 hectares. We can say that the walls surrounding the city built on the rocks are 8 m high and approximately 4.5km long.

After visiting Gagik Church, St Krikor Chapel, Halashar Church, The Great Cathedral, Tigran Honents, Georgian Church, Seljuk Palace, and Castle with our tour guide we move to Çıldır Lake which is the largest freshwater lake in Turkey.

We have a break in the lake and move to our hotel in Kars.

6. Day: İSHAKPAŞA PALACE-DOĞU BEYAZIT- MURADİYE WATERFALL -ERCİŞ FISH DAM- VAN

We set out after having breakfast at the hotel. We reach Doğubayazıt by watching Mountain Ararat. We visit İshakpaşa Palace, which is the most important structure of Turkish architecture history, with our tour guide and give free time for lunch and shopping in the Iranian Bazaar.

We reach Muradiye Waterfall by watching Tendürek Mountain after lunch. We have a second break here and then move to Erciş Fish Dam. Here is the immigration place of pearl mullet. They swim against the water so it seems like they are dancing.

After having a photo break, we move to our hotel in Van for dinner and accommodation.

7. Day: VAN - ANTALYA

After having breakfast at the hotel, we go shopping in Van city center. We drive to the airport in the evening and take the flight to Antalya at 15:15 via Sun Express.
